Introduction

Saudi German Hospitals (SGH) Group is the largest healthcare provider in the region. Founded by Batterjee family, it owns and operates a network of state-of-the art hospitals & clinics across the Middle East & North Africa. Currently Saudi German Hospital operates 6 multi-specialty tertiary level hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, Aseer, Hail and Dammam).

History

A man of vision and great ambition, Eng. Sobhi Batterjee began his journey in 1988, by founding the Saudi German Hospital in Jeddah, alongside his brother, Dr Khaled Batterjee, with the aim of giving the local community access to premium international healthcare.

Known for being one of the leading countries in the healthcare sector, SGH tied up with German University Hospitals, bringing advanced German healthcare standards and expertise straight to the local community.

After over 30 years of providing world-class healthcare services to millions of people across the region, and having built a strong reputation within the community, Saudi German Hospitals Group has become one the most well-known hospital groups in the Middle East and North Africa, with hospitals and clinics in several cities across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Yemen and soon to open in Morocco and Pakistan.

Middle East Healthcare Company - Saudi German Hospitals

Saudi German Hospital – Jeddah

Saudi German Hospital Jeddah was the first branch to operate in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operation in 1988 with a capacity of 218 beds. The hospital is located on Batterjee Street in a primary area of Al Zahra district in Jeddah, only a few kilometers away from Jeddah airport, and very close to the major arterial roads of Jeddah. The hospital consists of a main building with a built up area of 18,745 square meters and a medical tower with a built up area of 10,902 square meters.

Saudi German Hospital – Aseer

Saudi German Hospital Aseer is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operations in 2000, with a capacity of 400 beds, ideally located on the Abha Khamis Mushait highway in Aseer. This hospital stands on a large and beautifully landscaped area of 55,644 square meters. The main hospital building has a built-up area of 35,893 square meters. The hospital is easily accessible from the airport and other roads in Aseer and neighboring regions..

Saudi German Hospital – Riyadh

Saudi German Hospital Riyadh is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operations in 2001, with a capacity of 300 beds. SGH Riyadh is located on King Fahad Road close to the main businesses and residential districts, and is easily accessible from all areas of Riyadh city as well as neighboring areas. The hospital is built on a prime plot of 29,880 square meters with a built-up area of 35,188 square meters.

Saudi German Hospital - Madinah

Saudi German Hospital Madinah is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operations in 2003, with a capacity of 300 beds. The hospital is located in Madinah outside the Haram area conveniently located on Prince Naif bin AbdulAziz Road. The area is accessible to Muslims & non-Muslims. The hospital is built on a plot of 70,771 square meters, with the main hospital building having a built-up area of 34,751 square meters.

Saudi German Hospital - Hail

Saudi German Hospital Hail is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operations in 2017 with a capacity of 150 beds. The hospital is located in Al Khozama District, close to Prince Amir Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Palace, to provide quality healthcare to people in Hail. Saudi German Hospital Hail consists of a main building with a built-up area of 19,456 square meters, a building for its employees and its own parking facility. The Saudi German Hospital in Hail also receives patients from adjacent regions to receive their treatment. 

Saudi German Hospital - Dammam

Saudi German Hospital Dammam is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that will begin its operations end of 2019 with a capacity of 150 to 300 beds. The hospital was built with a unique exterior and interior design providing a comfortable space for our patients and visitors. The hospital will provide 100 outpatient clinics, 625 parking lots and medical expertise from all kinds of specialties and sub-specialties.

The total built-up area of ​​the hospital is 39,000 square meters and is part of Batterjee Medical City which aims to keep building comprehensive world-class care facilities in the area.

 

Saudi German Hospital - Sanaa

Saudi German Hospital Sanaa is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital which started its operations in June 2006 being the 5th tertiary care hospital and our first international branch outside KSA. The hospital succeeded to prove itself as one of the major healthcare provider in Yemen and African Horn countries. With 300 beds capacity and state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities, SGH Sanaa offers a wide range of medical services including all kinds of specialties, sub-specialties and critical care providing world-class care, at the highest level of international standards.

Saudi German Hospital - Dubai

Saudi German Hospital Dubai is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operations in 2012 being the 6th tertiary care hospital of the SGH Group. Since opening, the hospital has succeeded to become one of the major tertiary care hospitals in Dubai and the UAE. With 300 beds, SGH Dubai provides a wide range of medical services including all kinds of specialties, sub-specialties and critical care, at the highest level of international standards.

Saudi German Hospital - Sharjah

Saudi German Hospital Sharjah is the 9th operational hospital in the SGH Group. With 50 beds, SGH Sharjah provides a wide range of medical services including all kinds of specialties, sub-specialties and critical care at the highest level of international standards.

Saudi German Hospital - Ajman

Saudi German Hospital Ajman is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital offering highly specialized treatment, with the mission of providing high-quality medical care at the highest level of international standards. Since opening in 2019 SGH Ajman has become one of the best and largest hospitals in the Emirate. Saudi German Hospital Ajman is part of the Batterjee Medical City Project which aims to keep building comprehensive world-class care facilities in the area.

The hospital is currently equipped with 100 beds and expandable up to 200 beds and is spread over an area of 82,550 square meters with built-up area of 43,000 square meters.

Saudi German Hospital - Cairo

Saudi German Hospital Cairo is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital that began its operations in 2015.  Since opening, the hospital has become one of the major tertiary care hospitals in Egypt. With a capacity of 300 beds, SGH Cairo provides a wide range of medical services including all kinds of specialties, sub-specialties and critical care, at the highest level of international standards.

Building on the renowned expertise of Egyptian doctors, Saudi German Hospital Cairo aims to become a medical hub in Africa.
